Atlanta, GA · The Visionary
Founder · Producer · Musical Director · Arranger
Autoro “Toro” Whitfield grew up in Atlanta learning to listen before he learned to play. In church, on drums and keyboards, he found something that stuck — not just a skill, but a purpose. Music became the language he spoke most fluently, and the industry became the room he showed up in, ready to work.
The work has taken him a long way from those early years. He’s had the privilege of contributing to recordings alongside artists like Usher, Kehlani, Tory Lanez, Jill Scott, Tamia, Babyface, and Alicia Keys — every session a chance to serve the song and support the vision of whoever was in the room. As Musical Director for Grammy Award–winner Kelly Rowland, he helped shape live performances built on precision and integrity. And on the night T-Pain sat down for his now-iconic NPR Tiny Desk concert, Toro was there on keyboards — one part of a team that helped make something people are still talking about.
On stage, he has played alongside Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, The-Dream, Johnny Gill, Yolanda Adams, Travis Greene, and many others. Television has been a consistent thread too — BET Hip Hop Awards, BET Super Bowl Gospel, BET HER Live, Netflix’s Rhythm & Flow, and Genius: Aretha, where he served as Musical Director and Consultant.
None of it has changed who he is. Toro still shows up the same way — ready to work, ready to listen, and most interested in what the music needs. Through ...LikeTheBullCo, he’s channeling that same spirit into something that can outlast any one session: a studio, a label, and a brand built for artists who take the craft as seriously as he does.
